This past week was a big week in our family. We are so very thankful for our family and all that a family is. Our grand daughter, Camille went through the temple for her own endowment on August 27, 2013. Then on Saturday, August 31, 2013, she and Scott Coad were married in the Seattle, Washington temple for time and all eternity.

We are so grateful for our family. We thank Ryan for sending us some pictures and helping us get on Face Time so we could participate in the reception and for going to the wedding. Thank you to Ric and Marcie and Sam and Natalie and Amy for going and helping. We are so very grateful for that.
We are grateful for modern technology so we could participate through the Internet. We were able to see and talk to Camille and Scott and Blair, Marcela and say Hi to some of the rest of the family. We were able to see Camille and Scott cut their cake. We are excited that they are now husband and wife. Camille is a beautiful bride. We are grateful for a beautiful day for the wedding. We thought about what was happening all day while we were serving in the Guatemala City Temple so many miles away. |
I like this quote from Sister Kimball. "I was just sure the first ten years would be bliss. But during our first year together I discovered...there were a lot of adjustments. Of course, they weren't the kind of thing you ran home to mother about. But I cried into my pillow now and again. The problems were almost always related to learning to live on someone else's schedule and to do things someone else's way. We loved each other, there was no doubt about that. But we also had to get used to each other. I think every couple has to get used to each other."
We are grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are grateful to Him for the possibility of being families together forever.
Congratulations! So cool that she could wear your dress and that you could be a part of the wedding! even though you were so far away! Happy family times!
