Our P day is Monday. This past Monday we visited an Archaeological site of Iximche' Mayan Kaqchikel Capital City of the fifteenth century. We went on a bus with many of the temple workers. If you would like more information about this site, here is a web link you might like to try.  It is; www.oralidadmaya.info/iximche

We have been working in the temple for one week now. This is a small temple, but it is very busy. We have done about everything there is to do. We have had English speaking people as well as Spanish speaking people come. We have had young men and young women come. These people who come fill my heart with love.

Our training in the Salt Lake Temple, Monday thru Wednesday of this week, made me feel like I want to be like the words of this song by Sally DeFord.

If the Savior stood beside me, would I do the things I do?
Would I think of His commandments and try harder to be true?
Would I follow His example?
Would I live more righteously if I could see the Savior standing nigh, watching over me?
If the Savior stood beside me, would I say the things I say?
Would my words be true and kind if He were never far away?
Would I try to share the gospel?
Would I speak more rev'rently if I could see the Savior standing nigh, watching over me?
He is always near me though I do not see Him there,
And because He loves me dearly, I am in His watchful care.
So I'll be the kind of person that I know I'd like to be if I could see the Savior standing nigh, watching over me.

I hope I can remember the words of this song and always try to be this kind of a person.

getting ready to start our adventure in Guatemala

It looks like chaos has hit.  We are not sure all this will fit and not weigh more than 50 pounds!

And we still have these additional items to put in our luggage.
