Dinner on the Veranda (really on the deck)

It was soooo hot one night, in the apartment, that we decided to eat out on the deck. We made sandwiches and took the chips out with some dip and some fruit. On the one end of the deck is a little ledge, so we took two chairs over by it to use it for our table. We even had two small plants as center pieces. You can't see them very well, but they are there. It was just the two of us. Our room mates were at their shift at the temple. The breeze was wonderful and it was so fun.

There are some hand signs and words that are used here that we think are interesting. For the word OK, the word here is BAH.  The hand signal for come isn't with your hand, palm up and the pointer finger moving from straight to curled toward the person motioning to come. It is with your palm down and all four fingers going from straight out to moving toward the person who is motioning for you to come. I always think I am being waved to when they are telling me to come. The reason we use hand motions is because it is more quiet than saying "come here" in the temple. Its like putting your pointer finger up to your lips to say "please be quiet".

Last Saturday was our 47th wedding anniversary and our room mates                                                                             anniversary was on Monday, so we celebrated our anniversaries on Monday evening with some salmon that we bought from Costco and we made some Black Bottoms for desert.
